Although I have been showing Papillons for 30 years it is only in the last 5 years that I have been settled in one place and have had the time  & opportunity to devote to breeding & showing my wonderful  dogs! I have recently joined the committee of the  Papillon (Butterfly Dog) club where I am Newsletter editor.

‘MELANGEL’

When I chose my affix MELANGEL (mel-angel) it was meant to be MELANGELL (mel-an-geth) the patron saint of small animals in Wales. However when I was filling in the Kennel Club form I missed off the last L to make it shorter. My daughters, who jointly own the Affix, now live many miles away from me. They are no longer able to take an active part in the care of the dogs but we do meet up at shows. My grandson Jake, aged 4, loves animals & hopefully will take a more active interest in showing the Papillons when he’s older. Only 2 more years and he can start on his Junior Handling career !!
